I received the transport request from Doobert and looked at the applicable legs. Shortly after I signed up – the transport coordinator reached out to me and gave me a few more details about the dog we would be transporting. I couldn’t wait for the day!
Were there any memorable moments from this transport?
Being my first transport – everything is memorable. Zoey will always hold a special place in my heart.
What could have made this transport better?
Longer legs? The transport coordinator mentioned that the shorter legs are better for pregnant dogs so they can get lots of breaks. Maybe it’s just me being selfish – but my time with Zoey was so short! We were at our destination point in no time! 😉
Tell us about your passenger/s (behavior, demeanor, etc)?
Zoey was the perfect passenger! Being pregnant, she was not crated. She sat up and looked out the windows the whole time.
Why did you take this transport, what compelled you to help?
I signed up with Doobert years ago, but had my own dog and didn’t want to take time away from her that I already did.
I lost my girl back in August and miss her and having a dog. Volunteering helps give me the time with a fur friend and I’m helping them get to their new life.
