Third Coast Rescue heard of these 8 little angels and found a group called Dog Town in Colmar, PA. I saw the listing on Doobert and signed up for the first 3 legs leaving from Mobile AL. Sheryl met me with the puppies and we were on our way to Birmingham.
Were there any memorable moments from this transport?
The puppies were sound asleep for almost an hour. It had been raining and they were quietly napping. Suddenly, I hear scratching and turned to see one of the puppies trying to reach the car windows ledge. His little eyes were closed and he was face was stretching towards the window as the sun came out.
What could have made this transport better?
Ensure the receiving rescue/group can accommodate late arrivals if needed.
Tell us about your passenger/s (behavior, demeanor, etc)?
All the puppies were fantastic! Not one accident in the crates. They played well together, slept together, and didn’t have any trouble with snacks (sharing). Puppy break was so easy, puppy pads and a shower and they were doing their business without any delays. Such different personalities and all of them special.
Why did you take this transport, what compelled you to help?
I love animals, of any kind. While I can’t open my home to every animal that needs to rescued, I can provide services (foster/transport) that give them a better chance of finding a forever home.
