Doobert Organization of the Month from June 2015 – Remembering Ruthie Rescue (RRR).
RRR was started in memory of Ruthie (pictured below), a rescue puppy that was being fostered, who passed away on May 26, 2012 from parvo. Sally Parker was inspired by Ruthie and her fight to survive, and founded the Remembering Ruthie Rescue with her husband in 2012 in honor of Ruthie.
Located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, RRR is currently a 2 person, 1 income organization who is growing thanks to the dedication of their wonderful volunteers. You can hear more from one of those volunteers, Pam, by watching the RRR videos during the month of June.
Although they are just getting started, Sally and team have big plans for the future of RRR. As she puts it, “We may not be a large or well known rescue, or even a breed specific one, but that’s fine with us ‘We love our “mutts!’.” They’re new to Doobert but excited about the possibilities for fundraising and transport that Doobert provides to rescue organizations like them. They have received their 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS so any donations to them are tax deductible.
If you’d like to help RRR please consider making a tax-deductible donation to them via their Doobert.com page.
