The family that gets fostered together, stays together! There are instances where a foster is willing to take care of the entire animal’s family, including their young ones!
With that in mind, you can easily group together animals together with their litter in a few simple steps! Here’s how you can assign litter to fosters.
Step 1: On your organization dashboard, click the ‘Animals’ tab then ‘Dashboard’.
Step 2: Select the animal you would like to assign a litter to by clicking on the pencil icon.
From there, you have two ways to assign litters to the animal you selected:
Step 3: The first way is to create a Group by typing in the name of the litter of puppies or kittens into the ‘Group’ section under ‘Tags’.
Step 4: Alternatively, you can also click on the Assign to a Litter link to see more information on how to do it.
Step 5: Click the ‘Save’ button.
Step 6: Go to the ‘Fosterspace’ module then click ‘Dashboard’.
Step 7: On the ‘Current Foster’ quadrant, select the link icon next to the volunteer that you’d like to assign the litter of puppies or kittens.
Step 8: Type the name of the litter group created earlier into the text box and tick the checkbox to the animals you want to add to the foster.
Step 9: Click ‘Assign’.
And that’s how it’s done! Your volunteer can now take care of the animal, including their litter!
