Navigating the Tasks, Files, and Activity Section

The Companion Case management is your all-in-one toolkit when managing your day-to-day worklist in your animal shelter. Your organization and volunteers have easy visibility of what tasks and backlogs should be done. With this organization setup, you’ll be able to be more productive! 

Let’s take a look at the Tasks, Files, and Activity section.

Step 1: Click on the ‘Companion Case Management tab’ then select ‘Cases’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Case Name’ where you want to add a task.

Step 3: Once you are on the ‘Case Details page’, go to the ‘Tasks, Files, and Activity’ section and type the task description in the textbox.

Step 4: Click ‘Assign’ to designate the task you just typed to a specific team member or volunteer.

Step 5: Supply the name by manually typing it.

Step 6: You can also check the team members you want to designate the task to then click on ‘Assign’.

Step 7: You can add a due date by clicking the ‘Add Due Date’ and selecting the date and time from the submenu.

Step 8: Once you’re done, click ‘Add’.

Files

The emails you receive in the module are automatically added under the ‘Files’ tab as a pdf file that you and your team members can view and download. Here’s how to view your files.

Step 1: Click on the ‘Companion Case Management’ tab then select ‘Cases’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Case Name’ where you want to view the file.

Step 3: Once you are on the ‘Case Details Page’, click the ‘Files’ tab.

Step 5: To download or delete the file, click the three-dot icon and select from the submenu.

Manually Adding Files in the Files Section

You can also manually add files in the Files section for every case. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Click on the ‘Companion Case Management’ tab then select ‘Cases’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Case Name’ where you want to add a file.

Step 3: Once you are on the ‘Case Details Page’, click the ‘Files’ tab.

Step 4: Click on the plus icon.

Step 5: Choose the file you want to add from your computer then click ‘Open’.

Activity

All the changes that you or your volunteers have made on the case will be automatically logged in the Activity tab. It will show you the person’s name, the activity, and the exact time when the activity took place so you always stay on top of your cases. Here’s how to see the Activity tab. 

Step 1: Click on the ‘Companion Case Management tab’ then select ‘Cases’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Case Name’ where you want to view the file.

Step 3: Once you are on the ‘Case Details Page’, click the ‘Activity’ tab.
