Last Chance Arkansas

About Us Last Chance Arkansas is a foster-based animal rescue located in central Arkansas established in 2005.. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters, other rescuers, and people in need. LCA's available dogs are posted on Petfinder under Last Chance Arkansas, Little Rock, AR. Our goal is to find approved adopters for rescue dogs, community outreach and education. LCA is an active partner with the Arkansas Paws in Prison program (PIP), a partnership with the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Paws in Prison is committed to rehabilitating inmates and giving shelter dogs a second chance at life through a mutually beneficial, inmate instructed, canine training program. Inmates work with the dogs teaching them basic obedience skills and properly socializing the animals, making them more adoptable. Last Chance Arkansas is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, 100% managed by volunteers. That means every dollar received goes to care of the dogs we save. Veterinary care is funded though adoption fees and the support of generous donors who support our work.

All dogs needing transport have been issued health certification no longer than 10 days before transport, and are vetted, including rabies(if old enough) heart worm tested and given preventative. Puppies may or may not have been spayed/neutered, depending on age. All other dogs have been sterilized . We prefer to have pickups in Little Rock and Conway Arkansas, or central Arkansas. Transported dogs go to the NE, including the states of VA, PA, CT, DE, VT, MA, MD, and NH. We would mainly need transport to stops not covered by rescue transport we use.
